Welcome to Cyclewise Whinlatter, our new cycle hire, trail bike shop and offices for all things Cyclewise, our "One stop bike shop".

We have over 50 Cube bikes available to hire and these are ideal for use on the Altura Trail, (the UK’s newest Mountain Bike trail), or maybe riding and exploring Whinlatter's wonderful forest and scenery.
Hire Bikes can be pre-booked via our website so that you can arrive safe in the knowledge that your bikes are waiting for you, alternatively you can arrive at Cyclewise Whinlatter where we always keep back a small number of bikes that can only be hired out on the day. Prices for bike hire at Whinlatter are £20 per day and £40 for our range of full suspension 'demo' bikes. After 2pm, bike hire is at the cheaper price of £15.These bikes cannot be pre-booked.

We are also able to offer VHoldr Helmet Cams at £25 per half day, these cams are ideal for filming your mountain bike action and come fully charged with 1 gb micro sd card to record upto an hour of 30 fps footage. Ask for a demo at Cyclewise Whinlatter.

With the Altura Trail 100 metres from our shop it’s only right that you hit the trail with all the best that Altura have to offer, we are therefore proud to stock all of the latest Altura range of bike clothing. We also have available Camelbacks and a wide variety of other trail kit that we use on a daily basis as Mountain Bike Guides and SMBLA Course Providers. If we don’t wear it or use it we don’t stock it.

Our workshop staff are all Cyctech Level 2 bike mechanics and we can provide a fully accredited service centre to get your bike serviced or when the need arises our guides can fix trail induced repair jobs.

During the holiday periods we will be delivering our Junior skills sessions that will cost from £10 - £15 (depending on age) which include the hire of a bike & instructor. Bookings can be made on the day at our Cyclewise Whinlatter shop or pre-booked on the number below.

Bikewash facilities are also available near to the shop at a cost of £1, a small selection of tools are also available free to use.

Finally, we can now deliver our full range of courses from our dedicated base offering exceptional professional delivery all the time every time. Whether this be on SMBLA qualification courses or our own Skills / Mechanics courses we will make sure your time with us is an experience you won’t forget for all the right reasons.
