Whinlatter Visitor Centre
 

Welcome to a high altitude festive time at Whinlatter Forest Park with Christmas tree sales, Santa and seasonal food.

Christmas tree sales start on Monday 1st Dec.

Santa will be in his Grotto at Whinlatter on 6th/7th and 13th/14th of December.

Remember to book a time slot to see Santa (call the shop on 017687 78469 and select shop option for more details). There will also be arts and crafts for the children in the exhibition area to enjoy whilst parents visit the shop and Siskins cafe.

The Siskins Cafe will be open over some of the Christmas period, opening times to follow.

How to get there:

Whinlatter Visitor Centre is in Whinlatter Forest Park. Keswick is the nearest town or village.

Road:-, From Keswick: Take the A66 west towards Cockermouth. At Braithwaite turn west onto the B5292 for Lorton. Follow Visitor Centre Sign Posts., Bus:-, Bus from Keswick., Train:-, Nearest station is Penrith (25 miles east) on the west coast mainline.

What's of interest

The visitor centre is closed from the 24th (12.30pm onwards) December into the New Year opening again from the 2nd January to the 11th January. The shop will close again from the 12th January up to and including the 25th January for stock taking and staff training. We will reopen as normal from the 26th January.
